Като политолог Даниел Бохслер се занимава по-специално със страните, които са в преход към демокрация и с предизвикателството за установяване на демокрация в страни с мултикултурни общества. Голяма част от неговата изследователска работа са посветени на Юго/Източна Европа. Той е живял, работил и пътувал в региона през последните 15 години, говорейки няколко езика от местните. Има докторска степен от Женевския университет, работи в Централноевропейския университет в Будапеща, доцент е в университета в Копенхаген, както и асистент в университета в Цюрих.

As a political scientist, Daniel Bochsler deals in particular with countries transitioning to democracy, and the challenge to establish democracy in countries with multicultural societies. Large parts of his research deal with (South-)East Europe. He has extensively lived, worked and travelled in the region in the last 15 years, he speaks several languages from the region. He has received his doctoral degree from the University of Geneva, worked at the Central European University in Budapest, and is now an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen, as well as an Assistant Professor at the University of Zurich.
